How to Connect a Pan card to an Aadhar Card

Any person who has been assigned a Permanent Account Number (PAN) as of the first day of July 2017 and who is entitled to get an Aadhaar number shall intimate Aadhaar number in the appropriate form and manner, according to Section 139AA of the Income Tax Act. In other words, before the deadline, these people must mandatorily link their Aadhaar and PAN (31.03.2022 without fee payment and 31.03.2023 with prescribed fee payment). Before March 31, 2022, Aadhaar PAN linking is not complete.

If payment is made using the e-Pay Tax service, submit the Aadhaar PAN link request right away. If payment is made via Protean, submit it 4-5 working days after payment (NSDL).
Both the After Login and Pre Login modes can be used to request an Aadhaar PAN link.

Step By Step Link On Your PAN With ADHAR

Payment of the applicable fee must be made through the Protean (NSDL) Portal under major head (021) and minor head, or through the e-Filing Portal using the “e-Pay Tax” service if the bank account is not authorised for payment through that method (500).

If payment is made using the e-Pay Tax service, submit the Aadhaar PAN link request right away. If payment is made via Protean, submit it 4-5 working days after payment (NSDL).

Type the security code and click “Search” after providing the necessary information.

The following screen will reveal all of your Voter ID information if the information you supplied matches what is in the government database.

On the left side of the screen, select the “Feed Aadhaar No.” option.

The next screen will prompt you to input your EPIC number, name as it appears on your Aadhar card, UID number, and registered email address or cellphone number. Here, clickSubmit.”

You can link your PAN to your Aadhaar by doing the following:

a) Go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ to access the income tax e-filing portal.

b) Sign up for it (if not already done). Your user ID will be your PAN (Permanent Account Number).

c) Enter your User ID, password, and birthdate to log in.

c) A pop-up window asking you to link your PAN and Aadhaar will display. If not, click “Link Aadhaar” under “Profile Settings” in the menu bar.

e) Information such as a person’s name, date of birth, and gender will already be included in the PAN information.

f) Compare the PAN details displayed on the computer to those listed on your Aadhar. Please be aware that you must obtain the same item if there is a mismatch.
